Now under construction, the space at 4816 Brownsboro Center, is tentatively to be called Noosh Nosh.

The experiment by Eggheadz LLC, the developers of Wild Eggs and Wild Rita’s, to expand into fast casual Italian food has ended with the abrupt closing of Strati Wild Italian, at 1702 Bardstown Rd.
A posting on the door this week announced the news to its customer base: “It is with heavy hearts and great disappointment that we announce the closing of Strati Wild Italian. We’d like to thank everybody that chose to eat in our restaurant and for your continued patronage over the last 10 months. For almost a quarter century, hungry Kentucky State Fair attendees could count on a hearty fried fish meal–and ongoing musical entertainment–at the huge tent in the front of the exhibition halls run by Mike Linnig’s restaurant, 9308 Cane Run Rd. But not this year. Mike Linnig’s has decided not to participate as a vendor at the 2015 State Fair.

St. Charles Exchange, 113 S. Seventh St., has closed abruptly, but the staff has hopes that the closing will be temporary. The major investors who have underwritten the business since it opened three years ago, who run a software company, Adminovate, in Philadelphia, have decided to keep their focus on software development, and want to divest themselves of other unrelated businesses.

The July edition of the late night Beats & Eats event at Decca’s Cellar Lounge, 812 E. Market St., will be Thursday, July 23, from 10:30 p.m.-2 a.m. The “beats” will be provided by DJ Ryan Rugger spinning West Coast & Dirty South Hip Hop. The “eats” will be by chef Anne Pettry and her crew, inspired by the street foods of Latin America.
