Celebrate the Ohio River and beer at Beer on the Banks dinner

Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 6 p.m., Levee at the River House, 3015 River Rd. will host a 5-course dinner paired with seasonal craft beers from regional breweries outdoors on the Levee patio, overlooking the Ohio River. The Beer on the Banks event is co-sponsored by LEO Weekly.

The beers presented will be, in order of the courses, Rhinegeist’s Gummybomb; West Sixth’s Transylvania Tripel; Goodwood’s Rum Barrel Aged Oktoberfest; Apocalypse Brewery’s Smoking Pyres Porter; and Alltech’s Old Fashioned Barrel Ale.

Chef John Varanese’s menu will include grilled jerk chicken with pineapple habanero salsa and cilantro rice; beer-poached pear, brie and arugula flat bread; barrel-aged beer brat topped with a spiced apple rum pan sauce, smoked spicy mustard, crispy potato cake and grilled cabbage; Low Country gumbo with shrimp, venison and andouille sausage; and for dessert old-fashioned cherry chocolate chip milkshake served with salted butterscotch and bourbon cherry blondie.

A full bar and standard menu will be available at the indoor bar and tables.

The cost of this Beer on the Banks event will be $45. Tickets are available here.
