The interest in going beyond simply sipping bourbon continues to grow, and opportunities to learn more about using bourbon as a culinary ingredient proliferate.

Saturday, May 31, at 11 a.m., Bourbon Barrel Foods, 1201 Story Ave. (in the Butchertown Market complex) will host Chef Fernando Martinez, owner, chef, and “mastermind” behind Guca-Mole, Mussel&Burger Bar, The Place Downstairs, El Taco Luchador, Havana Rumba, and Mojito’s Tapas, in teaching his favorite recipes that use bourbon.

Participants will enjoy a brunch of heavy hors d’oeuvres, a complimentary drink, and a cooking demonstration. Tickets will be $35.
