Nancy’s Bagel Grounds moves from Frankfort Ave.

After 21 years on Frankfort Ave. in upper Clifton, Nancy’s Bagel Grounds is moving and expanding. The lease on the property expired earlier this year, and The Manhattan Project Bourbon and sports bar in the rear of the building, which owns the building, wants to expand.

Nancy’s Bagel Grounds is moving to 225 S. Spring St., the current home of Willingers Beer Depot. Co-owner (with Anne Fuller) Nancy Haner Grantz said, in a story in Insider Louisville , “For having to move, it couldn’t have been a better situation.” Fuller bought the Spring Street property which will need renovation and an addition to house a new bakery kitchen.

The renovated building will allow Nancy’s Bagels to expand the menu into breakfast sandwiches and to add new specialty sandwiches such as the Bob Haner sandwich, a tomato herb bagel with jalapeno cream cheese, lox, tomato, onion and capers. The business also plans to expand its fresh salad menu and all-day bakery items. Expanding hours, and the addition of dinner service, are also possibilities in the new building.
