The dining options in St. Matthews continue to expand. Tikka House, an Indian restaurant, is already open in Chenoweth Square, in the space that was most recently Majid’s. In the near future, two new chains will arrive, one serving Mediterranean dishes, and the other a roast beef emporium.

Tikka House has been open for a month or so, long enough to garner lots of positive notice on Yelp. A lunch buffet and a la carte dinner service offer dishes such as lamb masala with roasted coconut, Tandoori wings, fish pakora, paneer chili, several daal preparations and saag paneer.

Top Round Roast Beef, a Los Angeles-based fast-food restaurant, is opening a location at 4214 Shelbyville Rd., a spot that had been a Long John Silver’s. The building is being renovated to accord with the designs of the new business.

Top Round’s menu includes roast beef and cheese sandwiches, barbecue sandwiches), hot dogs and curly fries, including the choice of fries doused in gravy.

And sometime later this summer, Taziki’s Mediterranean CafĂ© will open at 106 Fairfax Ave., in the restaurant row that includes Silvio’s. This will be the second Taziki’s location in the Louisville area, joining an outlet in Middletown.

Taziki’s, based in Birmingham, Ala., has 69 locations across 16 states, serving a menu that includes chicken, beef and lamb gyros, other sandwiches, seafood and salads.
