Jeffersonville restaurant The Portage House, 117 E Riverside Dr, changed ownership over the weekend as one of the previous owners Paul Skulas continues work on his new concept, Couvillion, in the former Finn’s space at the Germantown Lofts. Doers Restaurant Group, which Skulas was an investor in, decided to sell Portage House after Skulas started work on his new project. The group still owns Parlor Pizza in Jeffersonville, 131 W Chestnut St.

Fontleroy’s, the much-ballyhooed and now short-lived contemporary bistro at 2011 Grinstead Dr. is officially closed. The space that Chef Allan Rosenberg radically renovated from the Uncle Maddio’s pizza chain outlet that was the first occupant of the address will be taken over now by Chef Dallas McGarity for his The Fat Lamb, which he hopes to open by the first of November. In a breaking news story, it seems that Fontleroy’s, the much-touted restaurant run by Allan Rosenberg, will close soon at 2011 Grinstead Dr., and the space will be taken over by Dallas McGarity, currently executive chef at Marketplace at Theater Square. There, at the corner of Grinstead and Bardstown Rd., McGarity will open his own restaurant, which he will call The Fat Lamb.
