Seviche, 1538 Bardstown Rd, is serving up some holiday romance with the traditional dinner and a movie date on February 11 and 12 — but it’s all in one spot. This month’s featured movie is “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” and the accompanying dinner includes wine pairings with shrimp cocktail: lemon, iceburg, and horseradish; Oysters Rockefeller: spinach, bacon and parmesan; Baked fish; lemon butter, caper, and rice pilaf; Steak Diane: cognac, mushrooms, mustard; and Strawberries and Cream: puff pastry, coulis, vanilla. According to Anthony Lamas, owner and chef of Seviche, 1538 Bardstown Rd., the next dinner and a movie, Sunday, Sept .10 and Monday, Sept. 11, beginning at 6 p.m., will be the 25th in the series. This time the movie will be “Fever Pitch,” a baseball story, and the dinner menu will be ballpark fare, done with a bit of an upscale touch. The Dinner And Movie Series at Seviche, 1538 Bardstown Rd., continues tonight and tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday, June 20 and 21 with a showing of “Bottle Shock,“ which tells the true story of the events leading up to the famous Paris Tastings of 1976, when Napa wines were judged better than famous French wines in a blind tasting.
