The popular Bardstown Rd. breakfast and brunch restaurant Highland Morning, which always seems to have a crowd outside and inside whenever I drive past, is planning to open a second location in St. Matthews. Later this summer, after some renovations to the space that most recently was a Tom + Chee outlet, Highland Morning will open at 111 St. Matthews Ave.
According to a story in Insider Louisville, the restaurant will retain its Highland Morning name, and the decor will be similar to that of the Bardstown Rd. location. The menu will also be similar, though a larger kitchen at the new location might serve for some menu exploration and expansion in the future.
