Lyndon residents and other fans have something to get excited about. Joe’s Older Than Dirt is moving back to its original location at 8131 New LaGrange Rd. with the help of Olé Restaurant Group. Yes, even the iconic moose mascot is returning. Cres Bride, who also owns and manages R Place Pub, will run day-to-day operations while Olé Restaurant Group is developing an affordable menu, according to a press release.
The Olé Restaurant Group announced Thursday that El Taco Luchador will open a third location in the Stonybrook Village Center at 9204 Taylorsville Rd. sometime in the spring of 2018.

Long-running St. Matthews restaurant Meridian Café, 112 Meridian Ave., has closed, but its owner, Kristin Fults, is planning to open a new restaurant, the Melrose Café, in Prospect. Fernando Martinez and his OLÉ Restaurant Group open their newest restaurant today at 10640 Meeting St. in Norton Commons. The two-level space will have, on the first floor, a full bar, restaurant and small marketplace stocking mostly Italian specialty items such as charcuterie, meatballs, cheeses, olive oil, bread and fresh pasta, beer, Italian wine and liquor.
